Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of SnapSlab ("we", "us", "the Service"), accessible at snapslab.uk. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What SnapSlab does
SnapSlab is an AI-powered trading card scanning and collection tracking tool. You can photograph a trading card, have it identified by our AI, retrieve a live market price estimate, and save cards to a private library. The Service supports multiple trading card games including Pokémon TCG, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and others.
2. Accounts
Authentication is provided by Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information when registering.
3. Subscription plans and billing
SnapSlab offers a Free plan (10 AI scans per month, unlimited library storage) and a Pro plan (unlimited scans, $3.99 USD per month). Prices in other currencies are determined automatically by Stripe Adaptive Pricing. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refund is issued for the remaining days in that period. Billing is handled by Stripe — SnapSlab does not store your payment card details.
3a. 14-day cooling-off period (UK and EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or European Union, you have the right to cancel a new Pro subscription within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund (the statutory cooling-off period). However, by completing checkout and starting your Pro subscription you explicitly request that we begin providing the service immediately. You acknowledge that by exercising your right to immediate access you waive your right to cancel under the cooling-off period once you have begun using the Pro features. If you have not used any Pro features (i.e. you have not performed any AI scans beyond the Free plan allowance), you may still request a full refund within 14 days by emailing snapslab.uk/contact.
4. Scan limits
Free accounts are limited to 10 AI-powered scans per calendar month. This limit resets at the start of each calendar month. Library storage — viewing, searching, and managing saved cards — is not subject to scan limits on any plan.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the card images you upload and the collection data you create. You grant SnapSlab a limited licence to store and process this content solely to provide the Service. We do not sell your content or use it to train AI models. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at snapslab.uk/contact.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to circumvent scan limits or account restrictions; (c) scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk; (d) upload images that are not trading cards or that contain illegal content; (e) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise access the underlying software.
7. AI identification and pricing accuracy
Card identifications are generated by an AI model and may occasionally be incorrect. Market price estimates are sourced from third-party APIs (PokéTCG API, Scryfall, YGOPRODeck) and reflect recent secondary-market data — they are estimates, not guaranteed valuations. SnapSlab accepts no liability for financial decisions made based on prices shown by the Service.
8. Intellectual property
The SnapSlab name, logo, software, and website design are the intellectual property of SnapSlab. Trading card names, artwork, and associated trademarks are the property of their respective rights holders. SnapSlab is not affiliated with or endorsed by any trading card game publisher.
9. Affiliate links
The Service may include affiliate links to third-party marketplaces (such as TCGPlayer). If you purchase through such a link, SnapSlab may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnapSlab disclaims all warranties.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SnapSlab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or if we have reason to believe your use of the Service is causing harm. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause limits any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country or state of residence that cannot be excluded by contract.
